Baggins Bilbo

A hobbit from the Shire, one of the Fallohides, traveler, minstrel, writer and translator from Elvish tongues, one of the authors of the Red Book of Westmarch. Born in year 2890 of the Third Age. In year 2951 he set out from Hobbiton together with Thorin and company in the role of a burglar to help them win back their ancient stronghold at the Lonely Mountain. The great journey is known as “There and Back Again”, the most important consequence of which being Bilbo’s encounter with Gollum in Moria. Unaware of the Dark Lord’s existence, Bilbo picked up the ring that Gollum had lost. It was later discovered to be the One Ring forged by the Dark Lord Sauron in Sammath Naur in Mount Doom. On returning to the Shire with his share of Smaug’s treasures, Bilbo adopted Frodo his nephew in 2980, and declared him as his heir. In year 2001, on his 111th birthday, Bilbo threw the infamous Long-Expected Party. After the farewell speech, he vanished, setting out to Rivendell and leaving his treasures along with the Ring to Frodo. He spent the next 20 years in Rivendell, studying Elvish books of lore. In 3021, after the passing of Sauron, he departed over the Sea with Frodo and Gandalf.
