Haldir

Haldir of Lorien was an Elf. He was the Fellowship’s first guide through the realm of Galadriel. We first encounter him in The Fellowship of the Ring, but he makes another appearance in The Two Towers, where he is the head of the Elf-longbowmen who are sent by Galadriel to help Men defend Helm’s Deep. Haldir dies a valiant death at the hands of an Orc.
