Harry Goatleaf

Harry was a man from Bree, and for a long while he worked as a warden of the West-gate of the city. In the original book version, Harry is once again mentioned in The Return of the King, where it was said that Goatleaf and Bill Ferny opened the West-gate for Sharkey’s men, and fled wit them into the woods near Archet afterwards. In the movie, Harry’s part is restricted to The Fellowship of the Ring. He dies on the night he lets the four hobbits into Bree when the Nazgul enter the town by knocking down the gate.
