Lotho was the son of Lobelia and Otho Sackville-Bagginses, the relatives of the Bagginses from Hobbiton. The S.-Bs. were regarded by all as the nosiest, meanest and greediest hobbits of all. Lotho and Lobelia devoted most of their lives to proving their claims on Bag End.
